PG's Jordan Wagner walks us through his latest review for the TC Electronic PolyTune pedal--featured in the 2010 issue of Premier Guitar.

The PolyTune is the world's first polyphonic tuner. You simply strum all strings on your guitar or bass at once, and it will immediately tell you which strings need tuning. This new tuning technology changes the way players can tune by enabling the tuning feature to apply to all the strings at once. The reference pitch can be set to your preference and ranges from 435Hz to 445Hz. If you are a guitarist that likes to play at a different pitch than standard, this is your go-to pedal, allowing for dropped tunings from E-flat all the way down to B. The tune works in two modes. First, Needle mode is for those that are used to the classic view on a tuner. The other option is for the people that want a little more real-time information, stream-mode measures even the slightest pitch variation and instantly feeds the info back to you via a rotating motion on the display. The PolyTune is also a true bypass pedal.
