Electroplex Amplifiers Announces TR Series

The new series will include the Rocket 22/TR, Rocket 35/TR, and Rocket 35-EL/TR and will be available in both combo and head versions.

Fullerton, CA (January 9, 2014) -- Electroplex Amplifiers will debut the TR Series of tuberectified Rocket Amplifiers at the 2014 Winter NAMM Show, January 23-26, in Anaheim, California.

The TR Series consists of three tube-rectified Rockets:

The Rocket 22/TR features a pair of 6V6 power tubes and a GZ34 rectifier for a warm, compressed “old-school” chime and dynamic touch response. Operable at 22 watts or 12 watts, the Rocket 22/TR delivers tasty “tweed” tone and expanded expressiveness.

The Rocket 35/TR uses a pair of 5881 power tubes along with a GZ34 rectifier to deliver 35 watts of classic “American” power for both clean headroom and creamy crunch tones. The Rocket 35/TR also operates at 22 watts for extra dynamic compression and enhanced touch sensitivity.

The Rocket 35-EL/TR lashes a pair of EL34 power tubes to the GZ34 for uniquely “British” Rocket flavorings. Clean tones with “bite” and classic UK overdrive chime sounds are all here in this 35-watt tone machine. And operating at 22 watts, the Rocket 35-EL/TR delivers that bright EL34 chime and sting at almost any volume.

The Electroplex TR Series will be available in combo and head/cab configurations, and are available for orders now.
