Description: 1960 Gretsch Chet Atkins Country Gentleman electric guitar in walnut finish.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall - light play wear; crack & chip in the neck pickup bezel.
Neck: Bound maple neck with ebony fingerboard & thumbnail fret markers. Original frets in great shape with no wear. Grover Imperial tuners in perfect working condition.
Body: Single-cutaway, semi-hollow maple body in walnut finish with multiple binding. Bigsby tremolo tailpiece & Rocking Bar bridge. Gold pickguard with Gretsch logo.
Pickups: Dual FilterTron humbuckers. Bridge - 4.26K ohms; Neck - 4.19K ohms. Master volume & individual pickup volume controls. 3-way pickup selector & 3-way tone selector switches. The bridge volume control pot has been changed, because the original wore out, but the original is included with the guitar.
Set Up: Professionally set up by our guitar tech. The original Bigsby tailpiece was attached slightly askew at the factory so when the strings lay across the fingerboard they are shiftedy slightly bass-side. Our tech put a small shim in the tailpiece & used double-sided tape to keep the Rocking Bar bridge in place. That seems to have done the trick & the guitar plays fine.
Playability / Sound: Nice, low action; smooth playing neck - very comfortable. The guitar plays fine now since our tech did a good set up job. Gorgeous FilterTron humbucker tones!

Condition: 100% Original. Finish has light scratches in areas, one or two light dings, and light buckle rash on the back. All electronics and controls are in perfect working condition. All but one of the controls are missing the silver tone and volume labels. No structural damage or repairs.
Body: Double bound laminate maple top back and sides with single cutaway design. Original tailpiece, bridge, pickups, pickguard and controls.
Neck: 25" scale length bound maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, mother of pearl block inlays, black dot fret position markers in the binding, and 1.70" nut width. Headstock features original Westone closed gear tuning machines.
Pickups/Electronics: Original Super Twin II pickups in both the neck and bridge positions with a volume and tone control for each pickup, and a 3-way pickup selector switch. Neck Pickup: 7.80K Ohms. Bridge Pickup: 8.43K Ohms.
