SKU: 2764 Description: 1954 Fender Double 8 Blonde Steel Electric Guitar Console
Condition: 100% Original. Very good condition. Finish has very light dings, with only one slightly visible scratch in the top. Fingerboards and bridge plates/covers have some blemishing and scratches on the metal. The original legs have some light blemishing, and one is missing the rubber foot, though it is easily replaceable. All electronics and controls are in perfect working condition. No structural damage or repairs.
Body/Necks: All mahogany body in original blonde finish with two necks and centerpiece. Original chrome plated bridge, control plate, controls, tuning machines, and fingerboards. Each fingerboard has a black fret board with white painted frets, and square fret position markers. Console is held up with three steel fully adjustable screw-on legs.
Pickups/Electronics: Original single coil pickups with master volume, master tone, and a 3-way pickup selector switch for neck 1, both together, and neck 2. The pickup selector switches detents have worn off, so the switch travels freely between all settings, though all settings work perfectly and stay in place. Neck 1 Pickup: 9.94K Ohms. Neck 2 Pickup: 10.23K Ohms.
Set Up: Professionally set up by our guitar tech with .011 - .050 gauge round wound strings.
Playability/Sound: Simple, easy to play design of this steel guitar makes playing and utilizing both necks a breeze. Volume and tone controls have a great useable range and provide both bright country twang, and mellow warm bluesy sounds with the tone rolled off.
