From Louisiana comes this very nice workhorse squareneck resophonic guitar. The Basic model features baltic birch ply back & sides, quilted maple capped birch ply top, spun Beard cone, classic #14 spider bridge, semi-open body chamber with opposing arced baffles supporting the cone, and a transverse support with ports at the top of the body, dual screened soundhole rings, ebony capped maple saddle inserts, bone nut, walnut fretboard with flush fret inlays and dot position markers, solid headstock with sealed geared tuners, fan coverplate, traditional tailpiece, chrome hardware, bound body & peghead, and red-brown stained gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The guitar is loud with good projection and clarity. The workmanship is very good, but not super attentive to fine cosmetic detail work, so this is a classic workhorse instrument and an excellent value. Includes a shaped hardshell case. URB24182 The creative Mr. Greg Rich has a history of unusual and interesting appointments for instruments. In his tenure as in house artist in residence for Saga Musical Instruments, he produced several unique and interesting engraved instruments. Mr. Rich's personal policy of "never let any surface be devoid of decoration" led to his creation of the "Park Avenue". Take Regal's top of the line tri-cone metal resonator and decorate every surface with an artistic tableau. The front of the guitar features intertwining leaves which partially conceal an art deco style 30s fashion model. There are also 3 medallions engraved on the front, two of which contain similar appearing '30s women, while the third medallion features plumerias. The sides, believe it or not, feature a thin, engraved border, very simply and elegantly done. The back however, is a myriad of designs: at the top is an art deco ingenue in a flowing gown.
