Select quarter sawn Mesquite neck, ~22 7/8" scale, 16 fret Texas Ebony fingerboard, side position markers at the 5th, 7th, 10th, 12th, and 15th frets, Signature Scoop, RB Signature Bridge, Mesquite peg head cap inlayed with Texas Ebony star motif. Gotoh geared tuners. Intended to be tuned to A or D, but sounds nice in open G as well. Mesquite is an incredibly stable native Texas hardwood with good tonal qualities, nice coloration and attractive figuring. UMB29513 A superb offering from Steve Andersen who is instantly recognizeable as the maker of the Emerald City archtop guitar he creates in his workshop in Seattle. The Florentine style mandolins he produces are no less treasured than his hallowed guitars. This example, the 100th that Mr. Andersen has produced, was so special to the maker that the peghead is amblazoned with the number 100 etched into a banner that appears just below the Andersen name. The physical beauty is astonishing, incredibly figured Maple for the back and sides and exquisite appointments as well.
