Description: 1917 Gibson H-2 Mandola in sunburst finish.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall with just a few minor nicks & dings; light surface scratches. There's some light play wear on the back of the neck, but not bad. There is a brief message scratched into the back of the headstock by the previous owner back in 1942.
Neck: V-shaped mahogany neck with ivoroid binding & side-dot markers. Ebony fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Strip tuners with ivoroid buttons all in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid spruce top with bound oval sound hole. Birch back & sides with top & back binding. Ebony bridge with The Gibson engraved, nickel tailpiece. Tortoise-style pickguard is in fantastic condition with all the parts present!
Set Up: Professionally set up by our luthier.
Playability / Sound: Nice action - neck plays & feels great. Gorgeous tone - loud with nice projection.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The leather has deteriortated from the handle & has been replaced with rope.

Parisian Mandolin
The Parisian Swing Mandolin combines the gypsy jazz look with traditional mandolin soundholes. These mandolins offer the familiar tone most players are accustomed to, and provide the ultimate in volume and cutting power.
The peghead is made from ebony, with product designer Greg Rich's distinctive Paris Swing logo and an abalone/M.O.P. Art Deco "Lozenge" inlay.
This unique model also has a beautiful Deco square pattern in M.O.P and abalone on the fretboard. The mandolin features select, solid AAA flamed maple back and sides, a flamed maple neck and a solid sitka spruce top. Each model is bound with tortoise-shell (natural models) or grained ivoroid (sunburst models) binding.

Double florentine cutaway (like 1960's Gibson A-5), sunburst finish, spruce top with oval soundhole, maple back sides and neck, 26 fret rosewood fretboard with dot inlays, adjustable rosewood bridge, F-style scroll headstock, double handled vase and "Epiphone" logo, chrome engraved tailpiece, 4-on-a-plate open gear tuners with plastic pearloid buttons, w-b-w-b top purfling, white-bound back and fretboard, 10" body width, 14" scale, 1-7/8" body depth, 1-1/8" nut width & tortoise pickguard.
Playability/sound: Professionally setup by our guitar tech w/ new D'addario phosphor bronze .010-.038 light gauge strings. Plays and sound great! Comfortable neck and nice low action. Very resonant!
