1st year for this cool pop model. It is believed that only the '54's and '55's had solid spruce tops. It would be a neat trick to find an over 50 year old example in much tidier shape than this one. I wonder if Laura Petri liked this model? coming to me from the same sprite/minx that is sending me the trick '58 jr with the 5 latch case. more information »

I loved the sound of this guitar when I sold it 21 years ago. It was in about 9.5 condition at that time. This is one that you can't put down, or at least the guy I sold it to sure couldn't. Most of the wear on this guitar took place since 1985. I'm having a hard time putting it down myself...so will you. I wonder what it will look like in another 20 years? As fine a playing/sounding example of a Telecaster/Esquire type guitar as I have ever played. It weighs 6 lbs 3.4 oz and has a real big neck that is primarily C-shaped with a very slight V inferred. more information »
