This guitar features a solid redwood top, solid German maple back & sides, big leaf maple neck, ebony fittings, Kent Armstrong mini humbucking pickup. The most minute detail was cared for when building this masterpiece including custom hard-carved bridge and custom wood inlays in the volume and tone knobs. Goodall's Jumbo has brilliance, balance and clarity that separates it from all the other Jumbos! This instrument has a wonderfully musical, concert hall bass that can only be likened to a grand piano. But with all this bass there is still great focus, separation and sustain. It has, possibly, a bit more fullness and punch throughout the whole scale than the Standard -- a hard feat to achieve. James has a special fondness toward the Jumbo series. The Real McCoy Custom 3 (RMC3) is a fully tunable self-contained wah. Inside the unit are Vari-Tune circuit controls: LOW - controls the amount of low frequencies present in the wah's sweep MID - controls the mid-range depth of the sweep. This control affects the vocal-like quality of the wah, as the human voice falls mostly into this range. Q - controls the attack, or sharpness, of the sweep. The Q can be anywhere from a smooth US Thomas Organ wah at minimum to a very sharp attack like found on early Italian built wahs. VOLUME - Allows you to adjust the output strength of the wah. SWEEP - This bank of 9 DIP switches allows you to select your desired sweep within a 9 octave range. The switches may be used in any combination to create familiar wah sweeps as well as some never before available. The voicing parameters go from higher than the old SCHALLER Bow-wow/Yoy-yoy pedal to deeper than any bass wah. FINE TUNE - These 2 trimmers work in conjunction with the SWEEP DIP switches to allow you access to values "in-between" switch settings. This Victoria Regal is an original Victoria design loosely based on the amplifiers manufactured by the Valco Co. in the 50's and 60's. It is powered by one 6L6 in single ended class A operation. The Regal's controls are Volume, Treble, Bass, Reverb, Speed and Intensity. The single 6L6 is perfect for discriminating tube swappers allowing for many hours of spirited conversation in the differences in tonal character of the many different brands and vintages of this workhorse of a power tube. The Regal is very lively and revealing tonally, and at approximately 15 watts, is more than enough power for modest gigs and recording projects. The tremolo effect is achieved by modulating the bias of the driver tube, so, like the Trem d'la Trem, the silky smooth tremolo can be enjoyed at any volume level. A single Eminence Legend 15" inch speaker is the driver of choice, chosen for its solid response from top to bottom and 99db sensitivity. Its tones are big and open, with a seamless overdriven note--thanks to the elegant simplicity of its design and the smooth class A output section.
