Following the success of their LFR-112 and LFR-212 powered cabinets, Laney now offers up the World’s first 4x12 dedicated FRFR guitar cabinet; The LFR-412.
At 2600 Watts and producing SPL levels of 139dB, the LFR-412 is the world’s most powerful, dedicated FRFR cabinet.
Designed in collaboration with Devin Townsend, the LFR-412 features LA⋅IR -Laney Advance Impulse Response technology – that uses 56-bit FIR filters to provide stunning cabinet emulation. The USB connectivity allows players to load their own IRs if they so wish, and an intuitive app allows for further adjustment. Housing the IR in the cabinet frees up much-needed processing power within the player’s digital rig, allowing for even greater creativity and reliability. In short, the LFR-412 does the heavy lifting. A host of IRs provided by our artists, will all be available for free via the LA⋅IR -LFR App.
Laney's LFR artist family includes Jack Gardiner, Andy James, LI-SA X, Martin Miller, and many more. Including - of course- Devin Townsend and Guthrie Govan. Devin worked closely with our UK design team to ensure that the LFR-412 would meet the needs of even the most demanding touring guitarist and he’s so proud of the end result, stating “I truly believe it’s a game changer”.
Our UK design team commissioned our expert partners at HH Acoustics to design the stunning HHBLACK SERIES professional 12” woofers, to accompany the LaVoce compression driver. This elegant and powerful suite of drivers ensures that the LFR-412’s deliver the breadth of guitar tones that are possible from modern modelers, whilst offering unparalleled, ultra-low noise even at full volume.

The LFR-412 joins a range of LFR-powered cabinets that all feature tailor-made drivers, designed and engineered by HH Acoustics to deliver power and precision and, importantly, a response that ensures that the player feels like they have a REAL guitar cabinet by their side. Because they do…Because with over 50 years of experience in amplification design and delivery, Laney understands the thrill of feeling the air move, the interaction between player, amp, and cabinet, and the MOJO that only LaneyLFRs deliver.
These captivating FRFR-powered cabinets are redefining the standard that players should expect from their digital rigs …They look cool too.

Try to keep your skull glued on while geeking out on the gear the Grammy-winning producer uses to make epic albums with Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains, Deftones, Korn, Rush, Mastodon, and others.
Nick Raskulinecz was in the middle of moving his SSL 6000 console from Franklin, Tennessee, to Nashville and the new home of his Rock Falcon Studio when senior editor Ted Drozdowski and the Rig Rundown crew caught up with the much-in-demand producer. The space, just off Music Row, was built in 1968 and has been owned by Roy Orbison and Ronnie Milsap. Since Raskulinecz—who’s produced Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains, Rush, Coheed and Cambria, the Deftones, Mastodon, Beartooth, and a host of other seriously rocking bands—moved in, there’s been some ass-kicking going on within its walls. He’d just wrapped back-to-back albums by Korn and Halestorm before our visit.
Everybody geeked out hard on Nick’s extensive collection of absolutely badass vintage and modern amps, guitars that have appeared on many of the albums he’s produced, plus a few of his favorite stomps and go-to microphones. And there were plenty more amps that didn’t make it out of the isolation rooms where they’re stored, along with enough pedals stashed away to fill another Rig Rundown. But take a look at what we did see—and try to keep your skull glued on!
