guitardo on 05/08/2013	Lugging an 80 pound combo amp carcass up multiple flights of stairs will make one 'lazy' real fast. Still, relying on a digital signal chain makes me nervous, because there is always that nagging psychological deficit that occurs from knowing that your tone is totally computerized, and perhaps too homogenized and shrink-wrapped sounding, like prccessed cheese. Also, beware of gee-whiz special effects: they initially sound 'cool,' but quickly prove themselves mostly useless. I have high quality digital stompboxes that can create all kinds of special effects, but they make your guitar sound like a VSTi keyboard, which most guitarist ultimately are not gonna like. And finally, when your high tech digital guitar cuisinart becomes obsolete - like in 6 months - you got a 2000$ paperweight. I've been there with Apple products.
pete on 03/21/2012	what happened to using an amp head an cab?fucking guitarists are becoming lazy these days 'yeh dude hate lugging a head and cab about' grow some balls,these things are toys,you spend more time going thru the presets than playing!!!!!
