Man, German makers are creating some really pretty guitars. These are sharp.

Frank, you have some great looking guitars and I love the wood selections. I spent 5 years in Germany and your english is much better than my german. It was a stroke of genius to have narrow frets above the 12th fret. I would have liked to of heard the pickups played as you described the coil options

Regarding the GFS pickups: I always am looking for new interesting hardware. I found some excellent reviews in Harmonycentral that made me curious.I think they are really a good choice. Did not want to blow my money into some boutique-pickup-companies just to have an expensive brand name on it. It´s not the name that makes the sound - it´s the sound? that makes the sound. But if a customer asks me to put some 500-buck pickups into the guitar, I will do that. The Dream 180 on the Lamia is very vintage and warm. The powerrails on the Chimaira really rocks and also has some surprising warm clean tone though. I know they are not made in the USA but the guys who stand behind the pickups do a good job and so? they are fine in deed. Only my 2 cents of course :) I don´t want to raise some dispute about GFS contra any other brand. There are many excellent pickups on the market. I will keep trying some more brands because only if I stay open for the new, I will have a chance to improve my sound. Also have some Wilde pickups from Bill Lawrence in my customshop and am excited to check those.

I was surprised but pleased that you're using GFS pickups in your production guitars. What made you choose them?

You guys who are picking on him for saying "Yes of course" are a bunch of crackheads. Let's hear you try to give an interview in German without making fools of yourself. This gentleman is a great player, great luthier, and nice guy. Plus he build really innovative pickups. Give him (and the rest of us) a break!

Hi Frank, Personally I enjoyed the interview, and can very much appreciate the level of thought, detail & craftsmanship that you put into your guitars & their designs. Your English is excellent too btw, and fairly rare it is to find a native English speaking person that can call themselves bilingual. So take the criticisms with a grain of salt, as you are likely to be already aware, people that have nothing better to do than prod & poke, aren't likely to be a part of your future customer base anyway. Take care & best of success to you!

Hi Folks, this is Frank himself. Usually I do not state any comment in a forum but since I am still hanging out in Nashville having some extra-time, I break my own rules :) First of all I did not want to be arrogant in any way. "Yes of course" in Germany simply means "Yes of course" without any hidden message. If you say that it has somer kind of arrogant touch I will try to avoid that phrase in the future and thank you for the helpfull tip. Frankly speeking I got more and more nervous during the interview. Man...a microphone right in your face and some high-end camera watching you all time.....puhhhh....and then trying to speak english the whole time without sounding like some kind of bavarian lumberjack....man, that really can make one nervous. Picture yourself in the same situation giving some kind of interview for a German newspaper or something like that. How would you do? Hahah...but I must admit - watching the video gives me the creeps because of my horrible dialect. "Get to the choppa!" hahahaha...that one really IS funny !!! Some guy told me that I should say: "I am from Georgia" seems to be some kind of running gag that I don´t understand :) But I get a lot of laughs and so it seems to be a good one. Oh yeah before I forget....wait! Cort? No Cort does not build any of my guitars for me. I browsed the Cort website but did not find the copy you are talking about. Please help me out and tell me the name of that guitar so I can check if I got copied. Anyway - I had a great time in Nashville and made some nice friends and contacts. Thanks for the compliments and please excuse my cruel english (this happens when you watch Beavis and Butthead too often) but hey - you survived Arnold Schwarzenegger - you also will survive me :) By the way - Shawn and the whole crew rock :) Alles Gute from Frank at Zerberus-Guitars

Don't get what you are so angry about. Granted - anyone who uses the "pissed myself" phrase sounds absolutely Stupid, but Angry? ( that is what bothers you -correct?).And yes, I know - stupid for asking. Stupid is as Stupid does in any language. There is plenty of Dumb to go -Round' - the world over.
