Guitars
Hinson brings a duo of his Reverend signature model guitars on the road with him. The guitar is based off of the Reverend 290 Club King, a semi-hollow guitar with two P-90 pickups, Bass Contour control, maple neck and fretboard with bat inlay, and locking tuners. The two guitars are identical other than the headstock veneer. Hinson says he prefers the P-90s because they can clean up and twang or get fat for more rock tones.

Amps
He plugs into a Fender Super-Sonic 100 head and 2x12 cabinet.

Effects
For pedals, Hinson keeps it simple with a Vox ToneLab LE. He uses it as a Volume pedal as well as chorus, overdrive, and tremolo. He prefers this unit because it's all-in-one and easy to travel with.
