Enter for your chance to win a Warren Ellis Signature MandoTenor! Giveaway ends July 7, 2014. Entries will be accepted from anywhere in the world where permitted by law. One winner will be drawn.
Some months ago Warren suggested it might be useful - for touring purposes - to merge his Mandocaster and Tenor into one instrument. We agreed to make a prototype that Warren could employ for the upcoming 2014 Nick Cave Tour. The result was shockingly good and its versatility surprised us. After a few tweaks we both agreed that this was something bigger than just a "one-off" for the 2014 tour, it was something that more people would want - and potentially a vital tool for any studio - so we went ahead and made a small production run of only 36 MandoTenors, dubbed "Black Ned".
It's way easier to play than you might think - check out the video demo by RJ Ronquillo and you'll be hooked. The versatility and range is remarkable, it is like having a guitar with 34 frets!
This Limited Edition run of only 36 MandoTenors are available exclusively from Eastwood Guitars and their dealers starting May 20, 2014. Each includes a custom hardshell case and signed certificate of authenticity.
