Slash and Scott Weiland are all over the news right now. Not only did Velvet Revolver announce booting Weiland (Slash blames his lack of passion for either the music or fans), but Weiland''s previous band, the Stone Temple Pilots, is reuniting for a tour this summer. Some reports indicate that the band is not breaking up; they''re just removing the man with "increasingly erratic" behavior. Read Scott''s response to the accusations.

Outside of that, Slash just released three guitars, dismissed a Led Zeppelin tour and warned Amy Winehouse against the ills of alcohol and drugs.

Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave) is kicking off his two-week Social Justice Tour. Performing as the politically active Nightwatchman, Morello''s tour is meant to address a different social problem at each spot. The tour features other artists like Ben Harper, Slash, Perry Farrell, Boots Riley of The Coup, Maynard James Keenan of Tool and Puscifer, Shooter Jennings, State Radio and Mike Einzinger of Incubus.
