Fishman

Fishman Fluence
Fishman Fluence Pickups - MSRP:TBD

Fishman’s Fluence pickups don’t use wound coils, they use printed layers that work in the same fashion, positioned around magnets. The result is a sonically “ideal” pickup, with no noise or hum problems. Then, using their years of experience shaping the sound of acoustic guitar pickups, Fishman applies a preamp that recreates the signature of whatever vintage or modern pickup they want — you can even switch sonic profiles for a pickup on the fly to have multiple sounds in the same guitar.

Hawaiian koa has been a favorite of boutique acoustic builders for ages. It has a cool tone personality, somewhere between rosewood and mahogany. It can be used for both back and sides and for top wood, and it’s beautiful. It’s also pretty expensive. The good news is that Taylor’s new 724ce is built with a breed of Koa that actually helps players save a few bucks.
