Woodinville, WA. (July 26, 2007) - Crate has introduced a versatile amp with big boy features in a very small package. The New Profiler 5 is a stereo 5 watter with two 4" speakers and a rack''s worth of built-in effects. There''s a separate delay, reverb and 3-band EQ but there are also 11 modeled amp profiles giving you the ability to instantly dial up a small tweed, large tweed, high gain, 60''s UK, dual recto-style, California-style mod, and more. On top of that, the on board DSP effects include chorus, flange, auto-wah, tremolo, octave and others.
The Profiler 5 is the only amp of its kind to offer a rear panel USB connector for directly interfacing with a Mac or PC. The amp comes with Tracktion 2 music production software, too.
The amp runs on AC or six AA batteries. It has a mini-jack for plugging in CD players and iPods as well as a headphone jack.
