Analog Outfitters Introduces the Road Amp

A A

Champaign, IL (March 6, 2014) -- Fresh from The NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA, vintage audio specialists and instrument manufacturers Analog Outfitters have announced the unveiling of The Road Amp. This new guitar amplifier is the most recent addition to Analog Outfitters’ collection of eco-friendly products. The Road Amp uses a heavily modified amplifier salvaged from an unwanted Hammond organ and the enclosure is fashioned from a decommissioned road sign.

Following the release of their Super SARGE amplifier last year, originally developed for Nels Cline of Wilco, the 20 watt Road Amp is the tube driven equivalent of a monster truck. This robust amp features:

  • Volume, treble, and bass controls.
  • 20 watt output into 8 ohms.
  • Vacuum tube power – dual 6V6 power tubes, 12AX7 and 12AU7 preamp tubes, and a 5U4GB rectifier tube.
  • 100% hand wired, point-to-point design – no flimsy printed circuit boards.
  • A recycled road sign enclosure – heavy duty durability.
  • Vintage Hammond organ components for superior tone.

All of Analog Outfitters’ boutique products are hand-wired in Champaign, IL using salvaged materials from unused or unwanted equipment. The Road Amp is the newest addition to their lineup of “upcycled” products which have been met with recognition from industry professionals such as John Scofield and Nels Cline. This new amp, along with the rest of their line, will be available through Analog Outfitters’ domestic and international dealer networks with a MAP price of $1199.
