Electro-Harmonix Unveils The Adrian Belew Echoflanger

Electro-Harmonix has launched the Adrian Belew Echoflanger, a limited edition signature version of the fabled EHX modulator.

From his career launching stints with Frank Zappa and David Bowie, collaboration with the likes of the Talking Heads and the Tom Tom Club, and his career defining years in King Crimson, Adrian Belew has always been on the cutting edge of using effects for cultivating intriguing and out-of-this-world guitar tones. Ever at his left-hand, the Electro-Harmonix Echoflanger had been employed to create some of Adrian’s most notable sounds.

The new signature Adrian Belew Echoflanger is an all-analog multi-mode modulator capable of sounds from smooth and airy to warped and wild. Classic modes from the original include Filter Matrix, Flange, Chorus, and Slap Back, plus new combination mode: Slap Back + Filter Matrix and Adrian’s signature Chorus + Flange. In addition to standard modulation controls like VOLUME, RATE and WIDTH for setting output, speed, and range of effect, the Echoflanger includes a TUNE knob for dialing in the centerpoint of the modulation waveform, and a FEEDBACK knob to adjust from mild mod to runaway self-oscillation. The BLEND switch adds/removes the dry signal from the effect signal for traditional chorus/flanger-type effects or more intense vibrato sounds.

The new twist on a classic tone twister features stereo outputs, and true bypass with mechanical relays. The pedal ships with standard EHX 9 Volt power supply and has a U.S. Street Price of $239.00.
