D’Angelico Unveils Improved SD Solidbody Model

A revamped version of the company's flagship solidbody.

New York, NY (January 4, 2017) -- D’Angelico Guitars now offers two innovative solidbody designs in the Premier Series, marking their return to the world of solidbodies. Improving upon their previous SD model, seen in the hands of influential players such as Susan Tedeschi, the SD is a single-cutaway solidbody with robust tone.

A revamped version of D'Angelico's flagship solidbody designed for performance, sustain, and power, the SD is defined by its balance of strength and elegance. D'Angelico humbuckers provide shimmering clean tones, but are also built to handle overdrive. Its body is hefty but remains impressively lightweight, due to a sleek carved top and belly cut. Designed with a focus on comfort, the SD's slim neck profile and deeper single cutaway promise playability, even when speeding through runs.

In a guitar world largely dominated by heavy solidbodies, D’Angelico’s SD offers a comfortable, performance-driven alternative. Perfect for those looking for a guitar that can handle rock tones without the guaranteed shoulder-ache, the SD was designed with supreme playability in mind. A sleek belly-cut behind its 14-inch-wide body even fits perfectly to the player, bringing additional comfort. Chrome hardware and 5-ply cream binding provide aesthetic flair.

$700 MAP. Available in black, trans blue, and white.
