Charlotte, NC (May 3, 2019) -- Can you only have one dirt pedal? This question is the driving force behind the creation of the Clockwork MultiDriver. As fans of smaller pedalboards, ToneTuga FX set out to make one easy-to-use dirt pedal that covered multiple grit categories without sacrificing tone. The Clockwork MultiDriver spans all the way from a crisp treble boost, to a crunchy distortion, to a fuzzy sustain.
“I wanted something that didn't feel like it was three independent knobs, but rather three knobs that all work together in a sweet harmony,” says ToneTuga FX designer, Michael Verala. Inspired by the synchronous inner-workings of a grandfather clock, ToneTuga FX wanted to make sure that every setting was valid and sounded incredible. There is not just one sweet-spot on the Clockwork MultiDriver, as every knob position is meticulously thought-out and designed with a specific sonic purpose.
ToneTuga FX call this a MultiDriver because at low gain settings, it acts like a treble booster, at mid gain/high volume, you get a sweet crunchy distortion, and at high gain/high volume, you get a fuzz face lead tone.
Secret Setting:
Bit Crush-Factory of Fuzz-ish Atom Smashing Glitch Nonsense: Gain set to max, roll guitar volume around minimum (1-2) for absolute destruction. Set guitar volume to approximately 3 edge of destruction) for a filtered /bit crushed fuzz tone. **These effects are at their best when the Clockwork MultiDriver is first in the signal chain**
