marchione guitars

Original design elements with old-world building methods.

Houston, TX (September 22, 2016) -- Marchione Guitars of Texas is pleased to announce its newest acoustic guitar. The Marchione OMC is the synthesis of Stephen Marchione’s 25-plus years of professional guitar making. It's an original design built with old world, traditional methods.

Only loft-dried premium tonewoods are used: rosewood, maple, mahogany, ebony, and spruce. All joinery is hand-planed and assembled exclusively with hot hide glue. The guitar is built face down in the Spanish method to eliminate the neck joint and allow the sides to be let into the neck for unsurpassed structural stability and perfect fretboard and string action. All fittings are African ebony and ox bone and the guitar comes equipped with a Marchione soundboard pickup–designed and built by Eric Corpus at DiMarzio–embedded in hardwood and mounted to the Indian rosewood bridge plate. Sperzel tuners are used for unsurpassed tuning stability. The guitar features a 25.5" scale length neck, with a 1.75" nut width and a saddle spacing of 2.25". A narrower jazz spacing is also available upon request. Each Marchione OMC is entirely crafted by hand in the Marchione Studios in Houston, Texas, and no imported parts whatsoever are used.
