Vintage photocell modulation and 24V headroom meet standalone spring-tank-style reverb in the latest dual-effect pedal from designer Chris Van Tassel.
Uni-Verb
The Uni-Verb is a 5 year project to try and capture the sound of the original. To make it even better we have added a Reverb meant to emulate a classic spring tank reverb from the 50’s. It is always best to have the Uni-Verb effect first in the chain and Reverb last in the chain so we have built in a loop to allow you to do so. The originals had a rocker switch to select either vibe or chorus but we have added a foot switch so it can be done on
the fly. We paid special attention to making the vibe section very musical and useable compared to the original. The Univerb vibes faster and slower than the original and also has slightly more output.
Three-knob overdrive gets a new twist in this homage to the famous bearded axe-slinger from Texas.
El Hombre
Based on the classic tones of a bearded Texas legend, El Hombre is the ideal overdrive for those feeling the blues or ready to rock all night. Capturing the nuances and touch sensitivity of an amplifier, El Hombre can go from mild to wild with the turn of the gain knob showing its versatility with each guitar plugged into it. From added harmonics to chewy sag El Hombre has it all!
The El Hombre is simple in format but complex in its abilities. The tone section is very effective allowing you to alter the drive style simply by adjusting the “Bite” control. When you bring the bite control up (Clockwise) it becomes more aggressive, turn it down (counter clockwise) making it smoother and more reminiscent of Dumble tones. Please experiment because there is a myriad of sounds in such a simple pedal. Push the volume up and bring the gain back for some amazing blues tones, push the gain and drop the volume for the smooth Carlton/Ford sounds. Bring the “Bite” control up and get wide open Plexi sounds. We are confident that this pedal can achieve any tone you need which is why we love it so much.

Tape Echo
Offering 1600ms of stereo delay, 7 repro-tape head combos and spring reverb, a 40-second stereo looper, and full MIDI control, the NUX TAPE ECHO (NDD-7) pays tribute to the original Space Echo while combining modern feature updates.
NUX TAPE ECHO uses Core-Image technology to recreate all the properties of the original Space Echo from 1974. It provides control of Bass, Treble, Time, Repeat, Level and Reverb, as well as further adjustment of Wow, Flutter, Saturation and Kill Dry. With different combinations of the virtual repro-tape heads, you have 7 delay pattern options. The longest delay time can reach 1600ms using Tap Tempo. You can even engage self-oscillation to get an infinite feedback.
An important feature of Space Echo is the spring reverb, which has also been recreated here. Core-Image technology captured the natural spring reverb sound and combined it with the warm and organic delay; NUX TAPE ECHO gives you lush echoes.
NUX TAPE ECHO also features a looper (SOS mode) with a maximum recording time of 40 seconds in stereo. Elsewhere, the pedal has 3.5mm MIDI IN/OUT jacks - you can assign the settings via a corresponding editor software. It’s a versatile and compact tool for modern guitarists looking for retro echo sound!
NUX TAPE ECHO highlights include:
• Up to 1600ms stereo delay time
• 7 Repro-Tape Heads combinations and Reverb only
• Core-Image technology brings natural Tape Echo with parallel spring reverb
