Ed Levy
Ed Levy is an NYC-based guitarist and multi-instrumentalist who has played on 20 Broadway shows (aka a "Pit Rat"). Prior to joining Broadway, Ed was the Director of Guitar Studies at The University of Toledo for a decade, where he pioneered a jazz and classical guitar curriculum. He was also on the faculty at University of Michigan's Department of Jazz and Contemporary Improvisation. Additionally, he performed with the legendary jazz vocalist, Jon Hendricks, for a decade, with concerts all over the country and in Paris. Ed has also played at venues including Carnegie Hall with the NY Pops Orchestra and at clubs like 54 Below.
Ed Levy currently maintains an active teaching studio, giving online jazz workshops. notably the Bebop Scale Boot Camp and Cracking the Code series He’s also the author of Intro to Improv, Bebop Scale Boot Camp, and Jazz Blues Etudes: Bridging the Gap between Playing Scales & Creating Music.
