Jack White Announces Surprise No Name Album

Jack White unveils the official release of No Name, arriving at all DSPs and streaming services on Friday, August 2.


Following the surprise unveiling of No Name, via a giveaway with purchase in Third Man stores on July 19, a blue indie vinyl edition will be available in Third Man Records retail stores on Thursday, August 1, and in select independent record stores across the world the following day. No Name will also be available on black vinyl via thirdmanrecords.com and jackwhiteiii.com; pre-orders begin Friday, August 2.

The album was recorded, produced, and mixed by White at his Third Man Studio throughout 2023 and 2024, pressed to vinyl at Third Man Pressing, and released by Third Man Records.

The folk-rock outfitā€™s frontman Taylor Goldsmith wrote their debut at 23. Now, with the release of their ninth full-length, Oh Brother, he shares his many insights into how heā€™s grown as a songwriter, and what that says about him as an artist and an individual.

Iā€™ve been following the songwriting of Taylor Goldsmith, the frontman of L.A.-based, folk-rock band Dawes, since early 2011. At the time, I was a sophomore in college, and had just discovered their debut, North Hills, a year-and-a-half late. (That was thanks in part to one of its tracks, ā€œWhen My Time Comes,ā€ pervading cable TV via its placement in a Chevy commercial over my winter break.) As I caught on, I became fully entranced.
