An updated take on a rodent-style classic circuit.
The High Roller may look suave and chic on the outside... but beneath that classy exterior lies the soul of a rodent: a classic rodent with an LM308 heart.
BMF's take on one of the most well-known distortion pedals of all time provides players with a wide range of sonic acreage to roam. The High Roller has just three knobs ā Volume, Gain, and Tone (which is actually a treble cut as you turn it clockwise) ā but they are very interactive, providing you with a wide range of tonal possibilities. Face melt? Sure. Full-bodied fusion tones? Aye. Smokey blues with some grease on the side? You know it. Garage grind? Got it right here, man. You might say the High Roller is a rodent of many colors once you get to know it.

BMF Effects and guitarist Marc Ford have teamed up to produce a dual-channel pedal built that runs the gamut from a gritty/clean boost to a mild fuzz with Tweed-like breakup.
Lomita, CA (September 3, 2018) -- BMF Effects and guitarist Marc Ford have teamed up to produce the āMarc FāN Fordā overdrive/boost ā a dual-channel pedal built to Marcās specifications. The Marc FāN Ford pedal couples the popular BMF Effects Purple Nurple Overdrive (described by BMF Effects owner Scott Kiraly as spanning the gamut from āa gritty/clean boost to a mild fuzz with Tweed-like breakupā) with the proven germanium-fueled BMF Effects GB Boost Germanium Booster. The end result is actually a three-channel pedal: boost, overdrive, and boosted drive.
Features include:
- Independent switching of the two circuits (per Marcās specs, the GB Boost goes into the Purple Nurple with both sides engaged)
- Purple Nurple (left side) has controls for volume and gain
- GB Boost (right side) has controls for volume and tone
- Heavy-duty enclosure with powder coat finish
- 9-volt operation and standard DC input (no special power supply required)
- Street price of $249 (plus shipping)
Scott emphasizes that the Marc FāN Ford pedal you purchase is built to the same specs as the one currently residing on Marcās pedalboard for the Magpie Salute tour. āIt was important to both of us that we offer customers exactly what he is using.ā
