Orange founder Cliff Cooper receives the award from the Queen

London, England (January 12, 2008) -- Orange amps has received the highest honor bestowed on a company by Her Majesty the Queen, the Queen''s Award for Enterprise and International Trade -- a fitting acknowledgment of excellence as the company celebrates its 40th anniversary. The award recognizes companies that have been "able to demonstrate substantial growth in overseas earnings and commercial success, to levels that are outstanding for the goods or services concerned and for the size of the applicant''s operations."

It''s shaping up to be a busy year for Orange -- the company turned lots of heads at NAMM with the OR-50 and is currently fielding tons of requests for more info about their 40th Anniversary OR40 amps, a series of 40 plexi-fronted one-offs with unique circuits and tones.
