The T-47 features two independent octave channels, each with level controls for clean signal and one octave down, as well as an adjustable Filter control.
Sheffield, England (August 22, 2016) -- Cog Effects are responsible for building the smallest analog octave pedals in the world, the T-16. The company have now expanded their current lineup to include a total of four octave pedals, with the brand new T-47 and T-70, and the upgraded and updated T-65 joining the range.
The T-47 features two independent octave channels, each with level controls for clean signal and one octave down, as well as an adjustable Filter control on each channel to shape the tone of the octave down signal from hairy all the way through to heavily-filtered sub-only tones. With one footswitch to engage and bypass the pedal and a second footswitch to swap between the two octave channels, the T-47 provides incredible versatility and tone control.
The new and improved T-65 retains the control set of the original, with level controls for clean signal, octave down, octave up, and the parallel effects loop, plus the adjustable Filter control on the octave down. The parallel effects loop allows you to mix in any effects with your octave and clean signals to create new sounds and textures, like a blend pedal on steroids.
The improvements to the T-65 are based purely around better integration into a pedalboard. The TRS send/return jack of the original has been replaced with individual send and return jacks to allow the use of standard patch cables, and the addition of the Mode footswitch allows you to select your sound when the T-65 is bypassed as either your clean signal or your effects loop signal, meaning any pedal in the T-65 effects loop is still fully accessible even when the T-65 is bypassed.
The brand new T-70 is an absolute beast, featuring three discrete analogue octave channels. The first two channels are independent T-65's, and the third channel is sub-only. This combination makes the T-70 incredibly versatile while also delivering building-crushing tone. The Bypass Mode toggle switch allows you to select your bypass sound as either clean signal or your effects loop, giving full access to the pedals in the effects loop even when the T-70 is bypassed.
Cog Effects' Tom George writes, "After the T-16, I didn't want to build just another octave - it had to be better and encourage creativity wherever possible. I ended up building three new pedals, and I'm really proud of what they all offer!"
Each T-47, T-65 and T-70 is built one at a time in Sheffield, UK, and features north-mounted jacks to minimise pedalboard footprint. The pedals retail at £160 for the T-47, £170 for the T-65, and £220 for the T-70

The Knightfall 66 is a dual-voiced overdrive with plenty of tone-tweaking options.
Sheffeld, England (May 27, 2016) -- The Knightfall from Cog Effects has been supercharged into two new overdrive pedals.
The larger Knightfall 66 features two Gain knobs that can be switched using the A/B footswitch, as well as a Level knob for each Gain setting to ensure levels can be balanced. The Voice knob alters the low end content prior to the clipping circuit, and the Tone knob adjusts high end after the clipping circuit.
In addition to a flexible overdrive channel, the Knightfall 66 also features a filtered clean channel designed to blend with the overdrive channel in a more natural-sounding way. No more "side-by-side" dry/wet blending, just full-bodied massive tones.
The new Mini 66 follows the same 1590A size format as the T-16 and Tarkin yet still offers nearly all the features of the Knightfall 66. The second channel is removed, and the Voice and Tone knobs are replaced by the Fat and Cut switches respectively. Each switch offers three different settings, allowing the user to find a broad range of easily repeatable settings.
Each Knightfall 66 and Mini 66 is built one at a time and features true bypass switching, engraved aluminium enclosure and no PCB-mounted jacks designed and engineered for a life on the road.
Cog Effects founder Tom George writes, "I couldn't just replace the Knightfall - it had to be better in every single way. I set out to make these two pedals simple yet incredibly versatile, and I couldn't be happier!"
Features:
- Flexible control sets and pedalboard-friendly designs
- CNC-engraved Hammond 1590A and 1590BB Aluminium Enclosures
- True Bypass Switching
- 9 volt standard DC input on the Mini 66
- 9-18 volt standard DC input on the Knightfall 66
The Mini 66 retails at £130, the Knightfall 66 retails at £160.

So much more than just Green Russian tones.
South Yorkshire (April 15, 2016) -- The new mk2 Tarkin has been squeezed into the 1590A size format and features additional LPF and HPF switches to change the shape of the filters making up the Tone control. This allows sculpting of the mids and a flexible fuzz for guitar and bass.
In addition to this, internal switching of the clipping style adds further control over the sound, even allowing removal of either set of diodes, meaning the user can dial in so much more than just Green Russian tones.
The Grand Tarkin Bass Fuzz features the same Mids and Tone knob combo from the original, as well as the filtered clean blend that helped the mk1 to create such huge fuzz tones. In addition to this, there are two pairs of Clean Level and Fuzz Level controls and an extra footswitch to switch between the two settings on the fly during a song.
Each Tarkin and Grand Tarkin is built one at a time and features true bypass switching, engraved aluminium enclosure and no PCB-mounted jacks - designed and engineered for a life on the road.
Tom George is the man behind Cog Effects, "My goal with the Tarkin range has always been to make solid fuzzes for the gigging guitarist and bassist, and the improvements to the mk2 models make these two very flexible and worth a spot on any pedalboard."
Features:
- Flexible control sets and pedalboard-friendly designs
- CNC-engraved Hammond 1590A and 1590BB Aluminium Enclosures
- True Bypass Switching
- 9-volt standard DC input
The Tarkin retails at £130, the Grant Tarkin retails at £160 and all Cog Effects pedals are built in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
