Golden Era of Gretsch
The guitars conceived and produced by the Gretsch Company after WWII represent some of the more unique sounding and visually dynamic models available during the '50s and into the mid-'60s. Their pioneering of brightly hued finishes, successful leverage of celebrity signature models, and diversity of formats and options are all lasting hallmarks of the Gretsch brand. The guitars featured in this Gretsch gallery celebrate that legacy. They illustrate the breadth of the post-war Gretsch guitar offering, as well as the evolutionary nature of the product line. Some became flagship models, a few even iconic, others not, but they all remain true to the design sensibilities emanating from the company's Brooklyn-based factory during the Gretsch Golden Era.
