Pat Metheny, Larry Carlton Headline Crown of the Continent Guitar Foundation Workshop & Festival

Bigfork, MT (April 26, 2010) – The Crown of the Continent Guitar Foundation (COC) is presenting a guitar festival and workshop from August 29 – September 5, 2010 featuring guest artists Pat Metheny, Larry Carlton and more.

The National Guitar Workshop-supported event includes six days of seminars, jam sessions, one-on-one lessons and master classes in a variety of styles, each with world-class instructors: Pat Metheny and Jody Fisher (jazz), Alex De Grassi (acoustic), Scott Tennant and Andrew Leonard (classical), Larry Carlton and Matt Smith (rock), Mark Dziuba (blues), and Doug Smith (beginners).

The festival and workshop is complemented by the western Montana location and four-star accommodations of the Flathead Lake Lodge. The COC describes the resort as “family-inclusive,” with access to hiking, biking, rafting, fishing and a watercolor workshop for spouses and older children.

Workshop participation and accommodations are $4400 for the full week; just workshop participation is $2128. Both rates include daily lunch and dinner. The deadline for registration and payment is July 1.
