Marion, IA (Apr 19, 2011) – Premier Guitar, the guitar multimedia network with the largest monthly audience, has launched its newest platform with the free app for Android users. The Android app joins the print magazine, digital magazine, website, mobile-optimized website, and iPad/iPhone apps as the latest portal by which readers can access PG's content. All of PG's magazine and digitally-exclusive content is freely accessible across all of its digital platforms.
"We're excited to introduce the latest member of the Premier Guitar multimedia family with our Android app," says Premier Guitar marketing manager, Nick Ireland. "This new platform launch remains in lock-step with our multimedia model, allowing the reader to choose how he/she would like to read PG's great content. The response thus far to the existing iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch app has been overwhelmingly positive with over 200,000 reader sessions since their respective launches and I would anticipate that our Droid users will enjoy a similar experience. We're very fortunate to be working with Texterity and The Wonderfactory to produce this reader interface."
PG's Android App is a one-stop-shop for gear reviews and information. The app is packed with the latest and complete Premier Guitar print magazine content, plus the latest gear news and all of Premier Guitar's video demos, factory tours, and rig rundowns, giving readers access to all of the gear knowledge they'll need when they're on the go.
The app features a brilliant replica format, just like the print magazine along with text-formatted articles designed for maximum mobile readability. Each issue can be downloaded and returned to at any time for offline reading. Readers also can search the archive of available issues, bookmark favorite articles, and share comments with other readers. This app includes issues dating back to October 2009. New issues will be available for download monthly.
