For Singing Guitarists: TC Helicon's Harmony G

TC Helicon introduces a pedal for guitarists to their VoiceTone line.

Westlake Village, CA (May 29, 2008) – TC-Helicon has introduced VoiceTone Harmony-G to its VoiceTone line of vocal effects pedals designed specifically for the performing singer. By following natural guitar playing, the pedal enables singing guitarists to add backup harmony singers to their performances without any tedious programming. Live engineer effects are also included, which automatically apply Adaptive EQ, compression and de-essing algorithms so the performer can focus on playing while VoiceTone produces a fully-produced vocal sound with dedicated doubling and reverb/delay combinations.

VoiceTone Harmony-G is a studio quality vocal harmony and effects pedal dedicated to guitar players that takes the programming completely out of the equation, since the guitar playing tells Harmony-G what notes to harmonize. Adaptive mixing and harmony arrangement algorithms follow the guitar and voice, and produce realistic harmonies without pre-programming. A guitar AutoMix function provides acoustic guitar players with a balanced mix of vocals, guitar and effects. The straightforward controls enable the guitarist to go further and arrange voicing and effects changes in their song by stepping through ten presets with A/B settings as he performs. VoiceTone Harmony-G also features XLR mic level I/O, guitar input and pass-thru for separate amp and guitar tuner inputs. TC-Helicon is also releasing the Harmony-M, which is geared toward keyboard players.

Both pedals feature two-voice fourth generation intelligent harmony allowing for natural back-up vocals. With flexible voicing, including a unique bass setting that instructs a harmony voice to follow the chord root, the intelligent arrangement algorithms follow the keyboard or guitar playing to produce tight harmonies. Additionally, a separate double effect uses the widely respected TC-Helicon overdub algorithm to produce a thick sound typically reserved for studio recordings. The pedals come with six factory reverb/delay combinations and ten presets, each with A/B locations. Topping an already packed feature list, the new VoiceTone Harmony pedals sport a studio quality mic preamp with phantom power, solid metal construction and detailed audio design from input to output. MSRP $395
