Gibson Sponsors Camplified Tour

Gibson offers campers a chance to rock out under the stars.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 13, 2007) - Gibson Guitar announced their partnership with the 2007 Camplified Northeast Tour providing young campers the chance to experience programs filled with music, learning and fun.

The Camplified Northeast Tour features some of today’s hottest artists, including Alexa Wilkinson, Blacktop Mourning, Devin Lima & the Cadbury Diesel, Matt Stamm, the Kin, and many more. Artists are will perform concerts at various camp locations throughout the tour.

“The 2007 Camplified Tour will give thousands of campers across the country to experience the art of music making while forming new friendships which will last a lifetime.” said Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of Gibson Guitar.

In addition to the concerts, campers will have the opportunity to visit Gibson Clinics, where they can jam on Epiphone guitars and watch musical demonstrations, in addition to receiving lessons by the performing artists. As part of the Gibson sponsored program, each camper will have the opportunity to create their own 30 music video. The top videos will then be chosen by a panel of judges, including Amanda Bynes. At the end of the tour, Gibson will donate all of the guitars used to select camps who can continue to use the instruments for music lessons for years to come.
