"Satchsу signal chain starts with his signature Vox Big Bad Wah and goes into a Voodoo Lab Proctavia, Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble, Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe, DigiTech Whammy, Vox Satchurator, Vox Ice 9 Overdrive, dual Vox Time Machine Delays, and a six-stage Marshall switcher. Satriani says he keeps the Time Machines and Big Bad Wah on all the time, and uses the rest of the pedals for select songs. The black box next to the wah is a True Bypass box made by Ben Fargen. Satriani uses a DigiTech Super Harmony Machine rackmount (not pictured) for the song рWhy,с and the box takes it out of the signal path when not in use. The board is powered by a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus."
