Chi takes the growl and tone of the Omega and places it within a more compact form factor. The 30-watt amplifier is built around 6L6 tubes for excellent headroom and a clear, articulate sound and is available as both a smallbox head and a 1x12 combo amplifier. In keeping with its lineage, Chi also includes footswitchable clean and lead channels and a serial effects loop, making it equally versatile on stage or in the studio.

Fronting a dual-EL84 output stage that generates 16 watts of power, the Bel-Ray sports a front end of two 12AX7s plus a fat British-voiced EF86* pentode tube in a triple-threat preamp that delivers Top Boost chime, Plexi grind, and H-Watt punch at the twist of a switch.
Juicy, tactile dynamics and multi-dimensional playing feel are ensured by tube rectification courtesy of an EZ81—an essential part of the power supplies in the smaller ’60s AC combos and 18-watters alike—and atmospherics are maximized by a tube-driven, bias-modulated tremolo circuit that oozes a warm, lush, swampy throb.
Atop this versatile foundation, the Bel-Ray carries the kind of feature set that has made Carr Amplifiers famous for their ability to deliver vintage-caliber tones to modern playing situations. The Level (aka Volume) control is coupled with a High/Low volume-taper toggle which selects between a direct signal or one with a partial Master Volume inserted after the following EF86 stage. In High, the volume comes on fast and furious, hitting the output stage harder for increased crunch. Set to Low, the volume rolls up gradually and drives the EL84s less aggressively, perfect for at-home nighttime playing and quieter settings.
The Bel-Ray’s decibels are further dialed in with Carr’s acclaimed built-in attenuator: a toggle switch flips between the full 16 watts and anywhere from 0 to 2 watts of power. Introducing the new Peavey Classic 20 watt 112 combo with an all-tube preamp and power amp, providing the distinctive sonic punch of the larger, iconic amplifiers on which it is based, but in a more compact footprint (7.25" x 14" x 7.75"/185mm x 356mm x197mm) weighing significantly less (34.7 lbs/15.7 kg). Two EL84 power tubes and three 12AX7/ECC83 preamp tubes deliver the rich, warm tube-amplifier tones that are so sought after by players and engineers. Each of the Peavey Classic 20 112 Combo's channels shares EQ, an effects loop, and reverb (all footswitchable), while the amp's rear panel features Microphone Simulated Direct Interface (MSDI) with XLR output and USB out, 3-position power attenuator switch allowing for 20 watt, 5 watt or 1 watt operation, and speaker defeat switch.
The Classic 20 112 Combo's front panel includes a ¼" INPUT jack, VOLUME knob, CHANNEL switch for selection of 'LEAD' or 'RHYTHM' channels, PRE-GAIN to control the input level of the lead channel (i.e. overdrive and gain), POST GAIN to balance the sound between the two channels, BASS, MIDDLE, & TREBLE EQ controls, REVERB to dial in the amount of ambience, a Pilot Light indicating when AC power is being supplied and the Classic 20 112 Combo's POWER SWITCH is in the "ON" position, STANDBY switch, and OUTPUT TUBE STATUS INDICATION (T.S.I.)
