The bass guitar body is made from lightweight African Okoumé wood which gives it a resonance that transfers easily through the Seymour Duncan SPB-1 Bass Pickup. The strong neck is made from Maple with a Purpleheart fretboard to give a clear, bright, transparent sound. The Bass guitar is finished with a Chequerboard binding around the body and headstock for a classic, distinctive feel and look.
The color of the Glenn Hughes Signature Purple O Bass evokes the 1960s and 70s as well as the beginnings of heavy metal.
