When playing with is band De-illumination in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Sazzad Arefeen plugs into a TC Electronic PolyTune, which goes to a Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor and then into his 2-channel Carl Martin Octa-Switch. The Octa-Switch’s first channel is programmed as follows:

- MXR Zakk Wylde Phase
- MXR Super Comp Compressor
- Ibanez TS9DX Turbo Tube Screamer
- Wampler Triple Wreck Distortion
- Fulltone Catalyst boost/OD
- Boss NS-2 send on Octa-Switch input, Octa-Switch send on Boss NS-2 return, Boss NS-2 send on Octa-Switch return.
- MXR Zakk Wylde Black Label Chorus
- T-Rex Reptile 2 Delay

The Octa-Switch’s second output runs through an MXR 6-Band Graphic EQ and TC Electronic Hall of Fame Reverb before hitting the amp. Everything is mounted on a Pedaltrain Pro and powered by a Decibel Eleven Hot Stone. “It was pretty hard to make this board from Bangladesh,” writes Arefeen. “It took me almost two years.”
