Craig is a 25-year veteran of Nashville music journalism who's worked at the daily newspaper, written for magazines, produced for NPR, made music documentaries, hosted radio shows, and ultimately landed as editorial director for WMOT Roots Radio 89.5 FM, which serves Middle Tennessee with round-the-clock roots and Americana music. There, Craig produces and hosts The String, an interview show with music makers, and The Old Fashioned, a weekly bluegrass and old-time happy hour. He's also the author of Air Castle of the South: WSM and the Making of Music City, a good book for understanding the Nashville story. He studied at Northwestern and Duke Universities, and he’s a member of the International Bluegrass Music Association as well as the Americana Music Association.
