Fano Guitars Announces Launch of Standard Series Line

The JM6 and SP6 both offer custom-shop features at an affordable price.

California (March 24, 2016) -- Fano Guitars, a boutique instrument brand of Premier Builders Guild (PBG), has introduced its new Standard Series, an affordable line of signature guitars from one of the industry’s most respected custom builders.

The Standard Series models feature many of the attributes that have made Fano Guitars world renowned, including beautiful designs that are new yet familiar, superior craftsmanship, and unique “distressed” finishes that make these guitars ultimately playable and recognizable.

The Standard JM6 features an aged look that makes it not only feel familiar, but loved. The JM6’s smooth, early ’60s C-shaped 22-fret maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and Alder body results in playing speed and comfort.

A choice of Hot P-90 or Humbucker pickups gives the Standard JM6 plenty of growl and attitude when needed. Controls include a Volume, Volume Tone and 3-Way Switch. Gotoh Vintage tuners and a TonePros Tuneomatic Stop tailpiece round out the JM6’s professional features.

Available in Olympic White, Bull Black, Ice Blue Metallic or Candy Apple Red, the Standard JM6 sounds as hot as it looks.

The Standard SP6 is a no-nonsense guitar that covers well-traveled ground. It features an Alder body recalling the Les Paul Special, and a bolt-on maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and pickguard layout that triggers memories of the Telecaster.

Sonically, the SP6 spans the best of both worlds with uniquely tasteful tones. The SP6 features a “T” bridge pickup and a P-90 neck pickup for a generous helping of twang or a dollop of greasy blues grit.

Rounding out the professional features of the SP6 are a Volume, Volume Tone and 3-Way Switch, Gotoh Vintage tuners, a Fano “T” Bridge with three Brass Saddles and a TonePros Tuneomatic Stop tailpiece.

“The Standard Series line of guitars takes some of the best attributes of our Alt de Facto series and makes them available to a broader audience,” says PBG founder, Michael Bernstein. “In introducing the Standard Series line, we’ve eliminated many of the costly elements inherent in true custom guitars.”

Jimmy Lovinggood, vice president of sales and marketing for PBG added, “At a MAP price of $1,895, the Standard Series addresses the needs of our dealers who want to offer customers the style and uniqueness of Fano Guitars but at a price point that is more accessible.”

Available now at Fano dealers worldwide, Fano Standard Series guitars are hand-assembled and finished in the U.S.A. with each guitar uniquely distressed in a light finish.
