AXL Introduces MJZ Guitars

The new offset body guitar from AXL is loaded with P-90s the company says are among the hottest pickups they use

Hayward, CA (December 30, 2010) — AXL has introduced an all-new MJZ body shape with P-90s in both standard and Badwater finishes. With a solid alder body and a rock maple neck, the MJZ starts with a tried-and-true foundation, adding two overwound Alnico P-90 pickups controlled by a 3-way switch that AXL says are some of the hottest pickups that they put on their guitars.

The offset body design is available in Lake Placid blue, sunburst, and metallic silver with matching bound headstock. It is also offered it in two of their most popular Badwater finishes, off-white and antique brown. AXL rounds out the classic design features with a tortoiseshell pickguard, tremolo bridge, rosewood fretboard, and 25-1/2” scale length.

The all-new AXL MJZ (AZ-800/820) has an MAP of $209.99 and will be available in March 2011.
