Rickenbacker 4003 S-5

Deviation from tradition isn't easy for Rick-o-philes, but five string bassists are bound to be intrigued by this new twist on the 4003, the 4003 S-5. The new single coil pickups are the really big news here. And as the asymmetric shape suggests, they're designed to deliver a very beefy low end and lots of focus and classic Rickenbacker clang up top. And though Rick' bass necks can feel like a handful, this one feels relatively compact--and very nicely spaced--for a five string.
