Music Man Dargie Delight II & StingRay SLO Special

PG's Chris Burgess is On Location in Nashville, TN, for Summer NAMM '09 where he visits the Ernie Ball Music Man booth. In this video segment, we get a peak at the Dargie Delight Limited Edition run of guitars and basses that feature the "Carmel Apple Delight" green finish. It comes with an ebony fingerboard on a maple neck and can be ordered on all Music Man models except the Steve Morse Y2D, Axis and Axis Super Sport. We also get a peek at the StingRay SLO Special which features the traditional StingRay setup but comes with a slimmer, Sterling-style neck.

Compared to the dynamic germanium Fuzz Face, silicon versions sometimes come off as brutish. And even though they can be sonorously vicious, if dirty-to-clean range and sensitivity to guitar volume attenuation are top priorities, germanium is probably the way to go. The McGregor Classic Fuzz, however, offers ample reminders about the many ways silicon Fuzz Faces can be beastly, sensitive, and sound supreme.
