Cort announces the expansion of its single cut lineup with the introduction of the CR300MT electric guitar. Developed to fulfill the evolving preferences of contemporary guitarists, this guitar unites a highly requested combination of components and materials in a classic design.
Built with a focus on traditional material choice, the CR300MT features a solid mahogany body configured to deliver sustained resonance and low-end warmth. The instrument is finished in a modern, streamlined Black Satin (BKS) finish, highlighting a clean aesthetic highlighting the physical architecture of the guitar body without distraction. The multi-ply white-and-black binding wraps the perimeter of the body and headstock, serving as a stark architectural outline against the deep satin color.
The guitar layout relies on a traditional set-neck construction, seamlessly pairing the mahogany body with a robust mahogany neck. This configuration refines mechanical stability and string-vibration transfer across the entire length of the instrument. Built to a classic 24.75-inch (628mm) scale length, the neck is capped with a durable Micarta fingerboard carved to a comfortable 12-inch (305mm) radius. The fretboard hosts a full 24-fret layout with nickel-silver frets. The electronic architecture of the CR300MT is powered by a high-output EMG® 81 and 60 active humbucker pickup set to provide tonal versatility. This iconic pickup pairing is wired into an intuitive, control array consisting of two individual volume knobs, two individual tone knobs, and a standard 3-way toggle switch. This layout gives musicians precise control over their output shaping, allowing for immediate switching and independent adjustments between the neck and bridge pickup positions.
Rounding out the specifications, the CR300MT is equipped with Grover® Rotomatics™ tuning machines for reliable tuning stability and micro-adjustment precision. On the body, string tension and height are regulated by a classic Tune-O-Matic-style bridge paired with a secure stop tailpiece.
