Solar Guitars Releases CHUG Capo Pitch Pedal

Adding to the company’s line of CHUG pedals, Ola Englund’s Solar Guitars has introduced the first digital product to the series, The CHUG Capo. It’s a low latency professional pitch pedal, acting as a digital bi-directional capo. Providing an easy-to-use format that is well familiar to guitarists, the CHUG Capo allows you to instantly transpose your guitar up or down by semitones. Using the arrow buttons located to the right and left of a bold bright display, you can easily drop or raise pitch an octave in either direction by semitone.

The CHUG Capo is designed to offer some significant new advantages. The first is Low Latency: The Capo has roughly half of the latency of other popular pitch pedals. Fast tempo right hand picking and chugging won’t give the feel of your playing dragging

behind due to latency like other pedals. The second is Sonic Integrity. The voicing has been meticulously programmed so pitch/key changed chords sound the same as an unaltered chord sound. This practical approach allows the user to digitally change keys with minimum compromise on sonic integrity for playing the body of a song. Your tone remains true through the range of pitch changes.

CHUG Capo highlights include:

  • Low latency for better playing precision and experience
  • Full +12 Octave down and +12 Octave up
  • Tone remains consistent through all pitch levels
  • MIX Mode creates very powerful fast tracking octave divider
  • FAV Mode creates a favorite setting seamlessly recalled
  • Foot-switchable FAV mode via non-latching switch (not included)
  • Bright and easy to read display
  • Rugged and durable chassis is tour ready
  • 9v 200mA power draw is pedalboard friendly

Solar Guitar’s CHUG Capo carries a street price of $279 / 249€ (EU). For more information visit solar-guitars.com.
