Wild Customs Guitars Unveils the Billy F. Gibbons Special

Wild Customs Billy Gibbons

With graphics inspired by the Rev's latest Hotroded '34 Ford Coupe "WHISKEY RUNNER", and loaded with our GYROCK Pickup System sporting BFG's signature pickup set (the classic Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates & Red Devil, along with our custom wound Humbucker dubbed "The Grizzly" by the man himself), ultra-lightweight construction and a Custom COA (with a limited hand signed run), she's as bold and spicy as a Texas hot sauce!

Changing your guitar tone has always meant rewiring your guitar with new pickups. It's not the case anymore. GYROCK is a revolutionary concept that enables you to load different pickups on a single guitar and to switch from one pickup to another in a split second. Billy F. Gibbons is known for playing mainly on the bridge pickup. We've redesigned the Gyrock pickup system to be as close as possible to his playing ways. GYROCK is a patented technology that has been developed by Wild Customs to create a groundbreaking musical experience.

Whether you are looking for rich, authentic humbucking tones or nuanced single coil sounds, the Gyrock can seamlessly master most of sonic territories.

There are superstars of country and rock, chart-toppers, and guitar heroes. Then there’s Keith Urban. His two dozen No. 1 singles and boatloads of awards may not eclipse George Strait or Garth Brooks, but he’s steadily transcending the notion of what it means to be a country star.

That process is likely to be tons of fun, too.

The 2018 CCL Deco Custom, in all its Pelham blue glory.

This reader solicited the help of his friend, luthier Dale Nielsen, to design the perfect guitar as a 40th-birthday gift to himself.

This is really about a guy in northern Minnesota named Dale Nielsen, who I met when I moved up there in 2008 and needed somebody to reglue the bridge on my beloved first guitar (a 1992 Charvel 625c, plywood special). Dale is a luthier in his spare time—a Fender certified, maker of jazz boxes.
