The Sonic Wind Open Chamber Guitar Debuts

Designer and builder Hector Trevino has debuted the unique Sonic Wind guitar, constructed with maple body panels that form an open chamber.

Urbana, Illinois (August 23 ,2011) -- Designer and builder Hector Trevino has debuted the unique Sonic Wind guitar, constructed with maple body panels that form an open chamber. According to Trevino, this hard maple, open chamber design allows greater resonance than a solidbody guitar and serves to isolate the through neck from the player’s body, which in turn increases the natural sustain and clarity of notes. The guitar features Seymour Duncan humbuckers with 5-way switching.

At this time production is limited and The Sonic Wind is available directly from the maker only. The price for guitars in the first production run of 20 is $3000. The price includes a molded hard case and lifetime limited warranty for materials and workmanship.
