Reverend walked us through the company's streamlined 2026 lineup, which reorganizes all their guitars into body-based lines (Charger, Kingbolt, Roundhouse, Sensei) differentiated by pickup configuration instead of individual model names. The lineup features new Steelhead humbuckers that combine ceramic and Alnico 5 magnets for added punch and chime, plus noiseless Steelhead 90 pickups designed to retain authentic P-90 character and single-coil quack without any 60-cycle hum.

We stopped by Cornerstone Music Gear to demo the Nucleo Reverb, a collaboration with Paul Davids featuring three reverb engines (Reactor, Room, Hall) with three voicings each (Normal, Vintage, Lo-Fi), plus dedicated faders for modulation, pitch shifting (AIR), and granular textures (FLUX). The pedal offers 90-second decay, freeze and freeze-pitch modes for holding reverb tails indefinitely, transformer-isolated stereo outputs, USB-C audio interface functionality, and 3 onboard presets plus 128 via MIDI.

John Bohlinger stopped by DigiTech to get the scoop on the Badder Monkey, which brings back the cult-favorite Bad Monkey overdrive with the original circuit plus two new modes (Behaved and Badder) that blend via a 360-degree Barrel knob. The pedal features a 3-way toggle for phase switching or activating all three circuits in Troop mode, plus Bananas, Curiosity, and Mood tone-shaping knobs, and ships with DOD's patent-pending reversible StagePlate that offers rubber feet on one side and built-in Velcro on the other.
