Keeley Electronics Survives Fire

Keeley rebounds with no loss to finished pedals.

Edmond, OK (February 9, 2009) – Despite a fire which broke out three weeks ago at the factory of the world’s top seller of guitar effects pedals, Keeley Electronics, owner and founder, Robert Keeley, says the small amount of damage has not affected production.

“The worst of the damage happened to our parts inventory,” says Keeley. “I had some rare treasures there, for sure, but nothing that would stop the world from spinning or Keeley Electronics from operating. The stock of built pedals and unmodified pedals all made it without any damage.”

Full production is now taking place at the second Keeley facility which specializes in road/ATA flight cases and Keeley guitar pickups.

Robert Keeley started Keeley Electronics from his Oklahoma City home in 2001. The Company has made pedals for John Mayer, Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, ZZ Top, Peter Frampton, Steve Vai, Death Cab for Cutie, Pearl Jam, Rascal Flatts, Kid Rock, and countless other musicians.

“I feel so blessed and fortunate for all the support and well wishes we’ve received since the fire,” says Keeley. “This was just a little bump in the road, but we are back on our feet and busier than ever. In some strange ways this allows new opportunities and forces some growth and maturity.”

Keeley Electronics is operating at full potential, and encourages all pedal orders as well as specialized modifications to help make up for the lost business during the weeks after the fire.
