Experience PRS: David Grissom Demos New PRS Amps

SORRY VIEWERS, BUT THE HAND MIC (SM58) SHORTED OUT, BUT THE AMPS STILL SOUND KILLER. PG's Joe Coffey is On Location in Stevensville, MD, where he attends Experience PRS. In this video segment, he talks with PRS guitarist David Grissom and PRS Amp builder Doug Sewell about the new PRS Amp offerings - Sweet 16, 30 and Original Sewell. Cut in throughout the interview are clips of David testing the amps for the first time, dialing up some times and using several different pickup, amp and cabinet configurations. Watch and see how a pro test drives some amps for the first time as the builder/designer nervously sits off in the wings.

Hoover explains that the finer details like binding, headstock size and shape, internal bracing, and adhesives are critical players in shaping an instrument's sound. Finally, Richard explains how SCGC uses every inch of wood for making acoustic guitars or outside ventures like surfboards and art.

Horsegirl guitarists Nora Cheng and Penelope Lowenstein are back in their hometown of Chicago during winter break from New York University, where they share an apartment with drummer Gigi Reece. Theyā€™re both in the middle of writing papers.
