Rig Rundown: G.E. Smith

After decades of backing up world-class artists and leading the SNL band, the famed Telemaster shares some of his tried-and-true gear secrets.

Next in the lineup is G.E. Smith’s T-style build by Rick Kelly of Kelly Guitars. Because of that, the guitar does not have a truss rod because the ancient wood does not move. The single pickup came from a ’51 Telecaster.
